Dylan Mulvaney: FAGHAG continues at Assembly George Square Studios – Studio Two until 25 August 2024

Oh my! This is truly something special. A modern parable that rides the inside track of a girl being born in a boy’s body. But it’s told with such charm, wit and likeability there is no room for anything other than joy.
It’s also very, very funny.
The staging and costume design are wonderfully bright and almost entirely pink until the Dylan wardrobe choices become darker as their story becomes more intense but never, ever ‘wrong’. Emotions run deeper but are picked right up again through sheer exuberance.
The songs may be few, but they are all excellently crafted. There is a sense that this show has ‘legs’ – as it stands, it would be great to tour but could become so much more. As a vehicle for Dylan’s talent, it truly shines.
It’s selling out (as it should) – get a ticket any way you can! Presented by Wessex Grove Shows.
