Fans of guilty pleasure ITV series Footballers’ Wives are being given their first taste of the upcoming stage musical version of the drama with the release of a music video for the song ‘Don’t Lose It’.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the TV show’s premiere, the track features West End star Alice Fearn (Wicked, Come From Away) as the series’ favourite bad girl, vengeful WAG Tanya Turner.
Orchestrated and produced by Auburn Jam Music, the track is now available to stream from all major distributors. The video is by Jake Waby Productions.
Fans who subscribe to the Footballers’ Wives The Musical YouTube channel will be the first to see and hear the second song from the show ‘Game On!’ which will be released on 18 February.
Inspired by the first season of the popular TV show, Big Broad Productions’ Footballers’ Wives The Musical has a book by Maureen Chadwick, co-creator of the original TV series, and music and lyrics by Kath Gotts. Chadwick and Gotts previously co-created the similarly TV series-inspired Bad Girls The Musical.
Based on the WBTVPUK series, the musical is produced by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and co-produced by Arden Entertainment and Sally Humphreys Productions.
