Full production of Eugenius! to play The Other Palace

The Warwick Davis and Kevin Wood produced British musical Eugenius! will follow up last year’s world premiere concert performance with a full-scale production at The Other Palace in 2018.

Written by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, the show – which debuted at the London Palladium last year – will play The Other Palace form 22 January until 3 March 2018 with a press night on 30 January.

Commenting on The Other Palace run, Harry Potter and Star Wars favourite Davis said: “We are thrilled to be bringing an original British musical to The Other Palace. After a tremendous concert performance at the London Palladium last summer we can’t wait to see the fully-staged production. Ben and Chris have written this incredible 80s inspired score, including the songs ‘Go Eugenius’ and ‘Comic Book Kind of Love’, which received popular acclaim last year.”

Set in the 1980s, the full-scale production of the show, which merges an earthbound love story with a comic book superhero fantasy, will once again feature the voice of Brian Blessed as ‘Prince Vultan’.

The director of the concert performance, award-winning Ian Talbot, will once again take the reins for The Other Palace production. Also returning to the show will be choreographer Aaron Renfree, sound designer Gareth Owen and lighting designer Andrew Ellis.

The creative team will also include musical supervisor Stuart Morley, with musical direction by Darren Lord and set and costume design by Hannah Wolfe. The show’s distinctive design features specially commissioned comic book artwork by Marvel artist Simon Williams (Transformers, SpiderMan).
