Fans of stage and screen favourite Lee Mead will be able to get up close and personal with their hero when the popular star embarks on a major theatre tour next month.
The actor who first shot to fame as the winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s television talent search for his new Joseph in 2007, will take centre stage in Lee Mead – My Story, a mix of music and conversation focusing on Mead’s life and career.
Currently starring as Lofty Chiltern in BBC1’s Holby City – a role created for him to play in both Holby City and sister programme Casualty – Mead’s stage career includes starring roles in Wicked, Legally Blonde and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The show will feature some of Mead’s favourite songs performed with a simple piano accompaniment alongside chat tracing the star’s career to date.
Produced by Total Productions, the show will launch at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax on Saturday 16 February, before heading for Blackburn, Felixstowe, Horsham, Colchester, Radlett, Maidstone, Eastleigh, Hornchurch, Bury St Edmunds, Hereford, Billingham, Whitley Bay, Camberley, Edenbridge, Herne Bay, Lichfield, Ilkley, Chatham, Eastbourne and Loughborough.
