Tik Tok star Maddie Grace Jepson will make her stage debut in the multi-award-winning West End production of Back to the Future The Musical in August.
From 13 August the digital content creator who appeared in Channel 4’s Big Mood will play Lorraine Baines alongside the previously announced Brian Conley (9 to 5 The Musical, Savoy Theatre, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, London Palladium) who will take on the role of the ultimate eccentric inventor Doctor Emmett Brown for a strictly limited 12-week season at the Adelphi Theatre up to 3 November.

Musical theatre was my first love, I trained in it before my digital career, so joining this incredible show for my West End debut is like a full circle moment. It feels like fate. I’m so ready to return to my roots and share this side of Maddie Grace Jepson with the world. Lorraine – I’m coming for you!”
The current London cast includes Caden Brauch as Marty McFly, Cory English as Doctor Emmett Brown, Sarah Goggin as Lorraine Baines, Orlando Gibbs as George McFly, C.J. Borger as Goldie Wilson and Marvin Berry, Alex Runicles as Biff Tannen, Talia Palamathanan as Jennifer Parker, Lee Ormsby as Strickland and alternate Doctor Emmett Brown, Liam McHugh as Dave McFly, Patricia Wilkins as Linda McFly and Ellis Kirk as alternate Marty McFly.
The cast is completed by Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Billie Bowman, Ella Beaumont, Gracie Caine, Charlotte Coggin, Lauren Dawes, Alexander Day, Helen Gulston, Matthew Ives, Connor Lewis, Adam Margilewski, Bryan Mottram, Anna Murray, Samuel Nicholas, Louis Quinn, Zachkiel Smith and Grace Swaby-Moore.
Following Conley’s 12-week run Cory English will step back into the role of Doctor Emmett Brown on 5 November. The production is currently booking up to 3 January 2026.
Based on the Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film, Back to the Future The Musical is the brainchild of producer Colin Ingram (Ghost – The Musical) and the creators of the much-loved time-travelling film series, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale.
The critically acclaimed Olivier, WhatsOnStage and Broadway World Award-winning Best New Musical celebrated its opening night in London on 13 September 2021.
Featuring a book by Gale and new music and lyrics by the film’s Emmy and Grammy Award-winning composer Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, the stage musical also includes songs from the film including Huey Lewis and the News’ Oscar-nominated ‘The Power of Love’.
Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On the Town) heads a creative team that includes the multi-Tony and Olivier Award-winning design team of Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Hugh Vansone (lighting), Gareth Owen (sound) and Finn Ross (video). Choreography is by Chris Bailey, with illusions by Chris Fisher, musical supervision and vocal arrangements by Nick Finlow, orchestrations by Ethan Popp and Bryan Crook and dance arrangements by David Chase. Casting is by David Grindrod Associates.
The musical premiered in Manchester in early 2020 at the start of what was to have been a limited 12-week season before heading for London. A box office record breaker at the Adelphi, the Manchester and London productions have been seen by 1.2 million people to date. The Broadway production began performances on 30 June 2023.
The international roll-out includes the North American tour which opened in June 2024, a production in Japan which launched earlier this year and an upcoming Australian production.
