New cast members & cast changes for Mamma Mia The Party!

New casting has been announced for innovative theatrical and dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party.

Currently taking bookings from ABBA-hungry diners hoping to visit the Greek island-themed venue in the heart of London up to 2 October 2022, the immersive show co-created by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, Mamma Mia! The Party, which returned to its specially-adapted venue within London’s O2 in October 2021 will welcome Ellis Dackombe, Tamara Perks and Tasha Sheridan from 7 April.

They will join Fed Zanni as Nicos alongside Kimberley Powell who takes over as Kate, with Linda John-Pierre as Debbie, Jonathon Bentley who takes over as Adam, and Molly Vleere who will take over as Kostatina. Allie Ho Chee continues in the role of Bella, with Jessica Spalis stepping in as Nina, Dawn Spence continuing as Grandma and Gregor Stewart remaining in the role of Fernando.

The cast also includes Oscar Balmaseda, Claudia Bradley, and Garrett Tennant. The musicians are John Donovan, Luke Higgins, Kathryn Tindall, Steve Rushton and Mark Pusey.

A sell-out success since it opened in Stockholm in January 2016, the London version of the immersive theatrical and dining experience originally created by Ulvaeus, director Roine Söderlundh and writer Calle Norlén, is co-directed and choreographed by Stacey Haynes and Söderlundh.

Set within a typical Greek taverna, the show features new characters, a new story and songs from the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! plus extra ABBA hits by Ulvaeus and his songwriting partner Benny Andersson (with some songs by Stig Anderson). The original version was adapted for the UK by comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig.

The creative team includes set designer Bengt Fröderberg, lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe, sound designer Gareth Owen, costume designer Annsofi Nyberg, with music supervision by Robin Svensson and casting by David Grindrod for Grindrod Burton Associates.

Mamma Mia! The Party is executively produced by Björn Ulvaeus and produced by Sally Davies for U-Live.
