Producer David Pugh has confirmed an early closure for the West End run of his well-received production of Pride & Prejudice* (*Sort Of) at London’s Criterion Theatre.
In spite of excellent reviews and good business when the show opened last autumn, the curtain will come down for the final time at the Criterion on 6 February 2022.
Citing a fall in audience numbers following the pre-Christmas Omicron fears that led to the imposition of Plan B restrictions, Pugh went on to announce a 60-week tour opening at the Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh in September followed by another West End run at a date and venue to be announced.
Inspired by Jane Austen’s classic novel, Isobel McArthur’s Pride & Prejudice* (*Sort Of) features an all-female cast and a karaoke soundtrack. McArthur also appears in the production alongside Tori Burgess, Christina Gordon, Hannah Jarrett-Scott, Meghan Tyler, Annabel Baldwin, Lucy Gray and Leah Jamieson.
