Theatre Support Fund launches The Show Must Go On face masks

The team behind the newly launched Theatre Support Fund has added a face mask to the merchandise available to raise funds for those in the industry hardest hit by the current crisis.

Backed by the producers of 16 of the biggest musicals in the West End, the new mask boasts the same design as the first fundraising item from the team, a T-shirt that uses the distinctive branding of some of the world’s most famous shows to create the slogan ‘The Show Must Go On’.

The brainchild of friends Chris Marcus and Damien Staunton, the merchandise which also includes a notebook, mug, badge and tote bag, is available to buy from the fund’s website with 100% of the profits split between theatre charities Acting for Others and the Fleabag Support Fund and the NHS Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. Costing £9.50, the masks are available to buy from the website www.theatresupportfund.co.uk.

Marcus who jointly runs leading props company MarcusHall Props and Staunton who works as an assistant stage manager and on graphics and design at MarcusHall props have enlisted the help of friends within the London theatrical community who have all offered their services free of charge.

The show’s featured on the shirts are: & Juliet, The Book of Mormon, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Everyone’s Talking about Jamie, Hamilton, Les Misérables, The Lion King, Mamma Mia! Mary Poppins, Matilda the Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, The Prince of Egypt, Six the Musical, Tina The Musical, and Wicked.

All items are being produced in the UK, using sustainable printing methods and non-toxic, vegan inks and dyes.
